Porf Savac is one of the nicest profs I've had, he explains well, he is caring for the student and willing to help and answer question at all times.
Avoid. I didn't feel I was being "taught". I had to figure a lot out for myself. The books used a horrible and dry - horribly written, unnecessary jargon-filled language. You'll struggle to get through the readings. Interesting subject but horrible delivery. A good teacher might have made this better.
tough prof. Midterm average was 54 and final was 58. Assignments were very difficult.
He is quick to get off task and doesn't explain in full. Essentially there are gaps in his teaching method. On assignments where you should be getting 1/1, he will give you a .54. I got all the correct answers for one of my assignments and I still got a .53% (you need to solve using his method and write very legibly). Avoid this professor all costs
Take advantage of the d2l Q&A sessions by asking help for the assignments. Study the in class practice questions and make sure you understand them, he posts solutions which once understood the tests should be easy.
Selcuk has a tough time teaching in a sequential manner. He tends to flip from slide to slide and seems to teach on the spot. Obviously, not everything can be prepared in advanced, but I feel like he should come more prepared to teach. Aside from that, his midterms are easy, but long. If you want, you could probably just read the textbook.
Nice prof who cares about his students. Always happy to answer your questions. The course is really boring. Weekly homework which was 10%, 2 mid-terms - 20% each and 1 final - 50%.
Doesn't answer emails quick. Not that helpful at all
Prof. Savas is a good instructor. His lecture content is good (sometimes boring) and he is very understandable.
Very hard to understand the prof. It looks like he does not know what he is talking up half the time. He goes up and down the powerpoints which makes it difficult.
