Tonya Davidson

biggest rage baiter of all time. if you love your life don't take this class. she genuinely wants us to fail.

Not a good prof. She praised her own textbook in every single class. Her midterm and exams are not good and she marks it biased off of what her opinion is. If you do not agree with her view she will give you a lower mark.

prof. davidson is the prof that got me into sociology - had no interest in it until the first class and it opened up my world entirely. her classes were so engaging, which is so rare for intro classes! i highly recommend taking her, she's amazing through and through

she failed me... i thought i did good on the midterm but ended up failing it due to her pickiness...

One of the worst profs at Carleton. She gives us fill in the blank questions with no word bank...

Great prof. I dont know why she has a low rating. Everything she said in lecture was the key information you needed for your midterms and final. Quizzes were easy and you did well if you just reiterated her. Fun lectures and open to different perspectives. Marked the essay hard but still an easy class if you retain class info well.

Her lectures are very engaging and interesting. She explains the material clearly and concisely. There are no surprises on the tests and they are very straightforward. She's also really funny and you can tell she is passionate about the material. I hope I will get more classes with her. If you have her, keep her! You will never be bored in class!

Professor Davidson was the most amazing teacher I've ever had. You have to be willing to put the work in, but in the end she provides amazing feedback and is willing to meet after class or during office hours to help you out. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy grade, but ultimately it's a great course. Tonya's hilarious too!

Good prof, really knows her stuff. However, expectations from students are WAY too high. If you're not majoring in sociology I would recommend staying away from this course or at least with this prof.
