The prof is very kind. Different kinds of assignments (ie. Google Form, Podcast, etc) rather than just essays/tests, which was interesting.
Dr. Idil Abdillahi is robotic and does not meet students with respect. Extensions were automatically granted which was a plus. The classroom was highly disorganized and quite overwhelming. Ironic for a disability course. TA was a tough grader at times and returned grades late.
Vague expectations, disorganized lessons, relies on online content too much (no original points), slack teaching, not objective (everything is personal). Not the most professional person I've met.
I really enjoyed this class. Assignment guidelines were clear and topics were interesting. Professor Abdillahi is skilled, generous, and respectful.
She made me want to switch my major. Do not question or be rude to the TA.
Kind, brilliant and fair. Great discussions. Idil challenged us but for the better allowing us to really get a lot out of the course.
She's an amazing prof that believes in the what she's teaching. She gave me some of the best advice when I was in my first year of university and I genuinely have so much respect for her. She wants her students to succeed and is extremely inspirational. As long as you pay attention and listen during lectures and discussions, you'll be fine.
I love taking classes with Idil! She is brilliant, supportive, caring and I have learned more with her than any other prof. It is an honor to study under her guidance and to witness a modern day legend in action. Idil inspires all of us to do better and shows us how. We are lucky to have recieved her generosity. You won't regret taking her class!
Great professor
Our girl LOVES to say "vis-a-vis." Take a lecture with her and you'll hear "vis-a-vis" approx 56 times in a 2-hour time span I never want to hear that come out of a person's mouth again
