Lynda is quite the caring and honest professor within this course, her assignments are very straightforward and easy to comprehend. Although her lectures are outdated, her guest speakers really amplified the course to its fullest in terms of media business knowledge.
Going into this class I was really nervous but Lynda's a great prof! She cares about her students and is an easy marker. Just complete all the assignments and quizzes on time and you'll do good.
RTA102 is not a necessary course. Lynda is a bit harsh about what she expects from you, but as soon as you understand it and adapt to it, you'll do well in the class.
I had her for 102 and 315 and she was a lot better for 315. She just reads off the slides and keeps the lectures super short. As long as you do the quizzes and the work you'll do good.
The class itself is very basic and not that exciting. She is a particular marker and really likes her specifics so as long as you can figure out what she likes, you'll be fine.
Lynda though sweet, made the class difficult to succeed in. Her feedback was often shifting and hyper-specific. For one assignment I was told to make it simpler and then was given my marks back with feedback saying I needed more detail. I wouldn't recommend her she also can't use a computer.
I think she liked me, so it worked out
I've heard negative things about her, but in the four weeks I've had with her so far, she hasn't given me any reason to not like her. Gave us extra time on assignments that were supposed to be done in class and helped me out with a question outside of class through email. Laughs with the class and is very sweet. Hope she stays in my good books!
If you're not required to take this course with Lynda, DON'T TAKE IT. When asked questions she is SO degrading and acts as if you are stupid for having questions. She would get mad at our TA for giving us high marks. Group workshops every class that are not worth marks but help with the final project. But she won't give you class time to do them.
