Not the best prof. If you have good foundation on econometric, you should do fine. However, for a person that has always struggle in econometric. Not the best prof on the lists. He just go through all the complicated formula without really applying them with examples. I need to crunch other 3rd party materials to get myself a passing grade.
He is in one word an Amazing. Very polite, understanding and tries to make students comfortable regarding the difficulty of the course. I respect him because he is respectful towards students too.
Derives a bunch of complicated formulas on the board and makes no sense most of the time. To be honest it feels like he just wants to take up all hours of the lecture for no reason. Wish he would go through more practice questions it would be more useful. Read the textbook because it'll save you. Hard exams.
If you submit the hw, you get the 20% completely. Provides sample midterm and final and gives exactly the same questions on the real ones too with slightly different numbers. He focuses too much on deriving the formulas instead of their application and the application is what he'll test you on. He makes 0 sense sometimes so read that textbook!
Good professor for a difficult class. You must attend class to understand the material. This professor will help you gain a deep understanding of econometrics for those who are interested. I suspect the poor reviews are from people who don't care to learn, wan't to skip class and are looking for an easy mark.
Doesn't explain concepts well, writes a bunch of complicated formulas on the board and expect you to understand. Basically taught myself the material.
Spends class time deriving equations which he expects you to remember all for the test. He cannot explain concepts clearly because of his very limited (No) English skills. No PowerPoint slides, he spends 99% of class time writing equations on the chalkboard. TA never showed up to the Labs. Left on a research trip halfway through semester.
Reasonably good prof. He teaches almost each topic twice so it can be drilled in your brain. You MUST go to class & actually force yourself to pay attention otherwise you will be very confused. His tests are very fair, he usually doesn't test anyone on the very hard topics.
He is one of the worst profs i have ever had, Do not take him. He does not explain the material, he just writes the proofs of the formulas from his notes. His english is not so good, therefore sometimes he does not understand the questions students ask. His test are not too hard, but we had a half of students dropping the course after the midterm.
His in-class lectures are probably the most painful experience you will have to go through. He may at times go too quickly and even though he asks if you understood, the speed he went through makes you to simply ignore him. Tests are rather more simple than I thought, had very little proofs. Rather, they are similar to textbook+practice questions.
