Helpful prof - he wants to see you succeed, and is very fair. That being said, don't expect to simply show up to class and get an A: if you want a good mark (like any other science course in your undergraduate/graduate career) you have to put in the time and work for it. In-class examples are representative of midterm/exam questions.
Very fair and helpful prof. Study the material taught in class and you'll do well.
George Ranger makes sure his students in his class pass by giving them assignments every week that is helpful and effective for a student who needs more practice in Chemistry. He also takes over the assignments the next week as well. The greatest aspect of George Ranger was his quizzes and tests... they were surprisingly easy and straightforward!
In my undergraduate career, I've had a handful of professors who were great teachers; but, gave horrible and confusing exams which resulted in a poor experience. This professor is both an excellent professor and very fair. Don't think you can "take it easy", you do have to work for it. Well worth the investment! I would highly recommend this prof
The tests are pretty straight forward and reflect the material being taught in class. However, the professor places an emphasis on the final answer rather than the work you have done to get to the answer (i.e. one small mistake and you get the entire answer wrong). But the course overall was taught well and the professor was really helpful.
Exams are fair. Very detail-oriented on assignments
Dr Ranger is a very straight forward professor. He does not talk about things that are irrelevant and whatever he tests you on he will repeat and make sure you get it. If you do your assignments, and do questions from the text you can easily get an A. Do your work, attend lectures! Overall Dr Ranger is a fantastic lecturer and is very fair.
Dr. Ranger is a great prof! Definitely one of the best!
He cares for his students to pass his course by giving them exercises and assignments for each chapter. After grading, he hands them back to you and then takes it up in class to give us a better understanding of it. He also gives good tests that aren't tough as you would expect from many Chem teachers. Overall, I am satisfied with his teaching.
Monotone. Basically reads everything out of book . so you are in the same boat if you read the book or go to his lecture. hard exam .
