She's very diligent about time, so always make sure to show up early. Always show her SOMETHING. Rad everything she assigns you. She really does care about you and your work, but I find that she can be a bit vague with her answers because she wants YOU to find them. Takes a bit to warm up to you.
Julie is a really great professor who pushes students to do their best work. She offered lots of good advice for my projects and the amount of examples she provided helped immensely in my understanding of the material she wanted us to present. I was very happy being her student and she cared a lot about us as students and the work we create .
Julie has ruined a dozen students over the years in the architectural science program at Ryerson (now known as the Metropolitan University). Without a solid understanding of how to be a teacher, she judges students by how similar they think like her. She will tell selected students that they lack talent and do not give constructive feedback.
Always gave us examples, and showed us other people's work to help us on our own (other profs didn't). She is always looking out for her students. Very kind, and genuine. Willing to put In extra time for you if needed during the studio. She just wants to see you succeed and will push you to it! I loved her and I hope I have her again.
i don't know why this rating is so off for her. She was such an inspiration for our section n I think people are just scared of being pushed. She believed in every single one of our projects and was super inspiring (its been 2 years and I'm still thinking about her advice). She understood my projects before I did. Very smart dont underestimate her
She forced you to work hard, and made sure to give each student help, should they ask for it.
