Ill never ever forget Professor Deborah Lace Kelly. I took her class looking for a fresh start in a new career path in media and Im really glad I was lucky enough to have her. Shes so passionate with what she does. You get both Industry expertise and theory with her. But what I find makes her remarkable is that she genuinely cares about you.
Like most profs at Ryerson, Deb is an amazing person, caring for her students and shows a lot of passion, but she is a terrible teacher. She may have lots of experience working in the industry but when it comes to teaching, it's not her strongest skill. Assignments are not well detailed so half the time you have no idea what you're doing.
Great Professor!! I really enjoyed her class.
Deb is fantastic and actually cares about her students. Really interesting topics and USEFUL information for the broadcasting world. Many cool guest speakers also!
One of the best teachers I've ever had. If you have the chance to take a class with her - take it!
Deb is awesome, one of my favorite professors. She makes the material interesting and she genuinely cares.
Probably the worst class/professor combo I've ever had. Don't take this class. It's boring and she doesn't help to make it interesting. The workload is absurd. Average of 100 pages of reading a week, assignments galore and a very stupid essay. No one in my class enjoys her or the content. Steer clear, stay far far away.
Great Prof
Best prof I've had at Ryerson. Was a great teacher and was helpful. Very knowledgeable. Tough marker, but not unfair. If you attend class, it's an easy A
She is very nice but her marking is very difficult. Her explanations are also not very clear for assignments and doesn't really show what she is looking for in terms of assignment criteria. She also seems nitpicky with the way she marks
