No clear grading scheme and will make his TA take off points for things that aren't written as requirements. When you confront him, he'll say its in the textbook then reference the older textbook that is NOT the edition in the course outline. When given proof that the new textbook says the opposite of what he's claiming, he will ghost you… Um what
Took him for ITM750 You have to study by your own. He is a great prof. and an easy marker. Ended up with A+ in course.
Easy marker but very hard to understand him as the accent is thick + he yaps about his past life experiences instead of teaching content in class. Take him only if you can work and study on your own. He marks easy so you'll do good if you do the work on your own instead of depending on him
he is difficult and just talks in class about stories of his work does not answer questions clearly
Terrible Prof. 70% dropped the course.
Stay away from this professor. Vague lectures and with no correlation to the weekly quizzes he has. No one in the class got over 80% on the first quiz with the majority getting 40s and 50s. I myself studied over the notes and read the textbook multiple times only to receive a 60. This should give you a good idea of how the course is with him.
Prof Tam is actually understanding and can be genuine. His first half of quizzes were super easy but the second half for exam grade were tough. The individual assignments are easy and can bump your grade. The group project was terrible with little explanation and the TA marks it harshly. In the end my final grade was bell curved.
Instead of a midterm and final, we had weekly quizzes of which was vague and difficult. Always says he's doing everything he can to help us, but is extremely rude when you ask for help/assistance. Lectures are drawn out and boring. final project was vague and did not include a detailed marking scheme.
