Ahmed Shaker

This teacher is very honest with his students on what is to be expected from this course and also cares for the success of his class. His slides show exactly how to solve problems in a concise way and he does not add random/pointless information to them. Answers any type of questions in class and overall a solid professor.

Dr Shaker, is a very nice man. He is kind, he responds to you with kindness and a smile. He makes tough things look easy. I like him and had good time in his class. Recommends his class to all environmental and transport grad students at Ryerson.

Good professor, if you go to him for help he will provide it. Is a fairly tough marker at first but that is expected in an engineering program.

He is a good prof but you have to pay attention and come to class. He teaches out of power points so make sure you print them out. One thing DO NOT bring electronics to class HE HATES THAT THE MOST. Come to his office hours and he will help you but show that you have tried ! . Go over his questions from the powerpoint and do them again !...

Material covered in the Midterm and Exam was the same as the material in the lectures. Explains everything with clarity. Not the easiest of content but he made it very simple compared to what other profs would have done. Enjoyed his class very much, if you think he's bad wait until you get Hossain.

Tough marker, but I found him to be very helpful. He explains the topics so thoroughly. This isn't a course you can pass with your eyes closed you have to put effort in. A lot of it. Overall, one of my favourites.

He might be a good engineer but not good to teach, he reads of the powerpoint and doesnt do written examples. He wrote the midterm by hand so its was hard to understand. He is a tough maker in a tough class so be aware, he doesnt like people using "technology in class" & dont leave early too. Work extra hard to pass.

Honestly one of the worst prof's for civil engineering at ryerson! he does not care at all about his students
