Ngl one of the best profs u will have first year, she actually cares and attend her office hrs its useful.

The lectures explain everything you need to know and she also gives hints on what is more important to know. Be sure to ask her about any questions you have at the end of class or at office hours, she responds to emails in like 1 day and explains any doubts well. Exam is very similar to the studio questions so just do them and you should be good.

Never went to her lectures, but she was a good prof. read everything off her slides. She was a bit rude and the final was made so that people would fail.

Is good because she doesn't just read stuff off slides, mentions things which might be on exams. But for the manual midterm and final exam, the lack of time given is baffling. How are we are given 2 hours to do the same amount of work in the lab as in the exam (much more). Also, she can be kind of rude/strict in lectures, and she ignores emails.

Never responds to emails, probably a better idea to send a messenger pigeon. The marking scheme for the final was definitely made to give as low marks as possible. Seems like these profs enjoy having low class averages. Both of the profs for this course have some sort of attraction to not wanting to give marks

Be sure to do well in the first two group projects, as the final term project is marked by the professor and is typically marked harder than the rest. Course is entirely group based, so if you have a good group you are most likely good for the course.

She's a great teacher and mentor, wonderful professor, pretty difficult and cruel in examination, but that is expected considering the amount of work and care she puts in her classes. MEC734 was one of the most interesting and eye opening courses of my Eng, I would take as many classes as I would with her although I will be in pain during exams

Dr. Stewart also goes by Mary Stewart. Her lectures give you everything you need to get a good grade in this course. The content is pretty straight forward, you don't really have to study, just pay attention in class and do the work. Most of the people who complained about their marks didn't go to class. This has been my favourite class so far.
