I had Darlene for Internship. She was great, I had difficulty with one of the staff at my placement and Darlene was so supportive. She checked in with me frequently and offered lots of support. She is a very caring prof.
Awesome loved Darlene. Wish I could get her again
I have never in my life had a professor that has given so much sassy attitude to her students. She HARDLY, if EVER responds back to your email but when she does, she writes back as if she's belittling you. She shows poor compassion and patients for her students. If you can bite the bullet, then take her classes. If you have an attitude too, don't.
Professor Evans is very helpful and supportive to students in the internship class.
Overall, good experience. The final paper is a lot of work but I found Darlene very helpful and answered questions online very quickly.
This was a good experience, my first online course. I found the discussion board format confusing, but prof Evans always took the time to answer my many emails for clarification. Darlene is the most fair prof I have had yet, we even got to resubmit an assignment to improve our grade if we chose too. I hope I get her again - great experience.
I found this course difficult, but the instructor Evans was very supportive. I find online courses more difficult in general , but this prof made a big difference for me
I have had Prof Evans for a couple of classes now and I really like the relaxed atmosphere that she creates in the class - it takes alot of stress away.
Great learning experience, the tests and assignments were challenging - a pleasant change from most of the CYC courses I have taken to date.
Horrible experience. Evans showed up to class, sat on a desk at the front, READ from a Word doc that is projected for 20 minutes, asked students if there were any "questions, comments, concerns," if there were none, she would dismiss the class. For the 3 hours allocated to this course every week, she'd be done "teaching" in 10-30 minutes! Unfair!!!
