Raymond Phan

He was not my professor, but his ELE635 YouTube playlist (Can't paste link: search "Raymond Phan ELE635"), from 2016, was far better than my own professor's lectures from 2021.

Great professor, knows his stuff very well, but talks too fast.

I didn't even take his course but his online lectures for ELE635 saved my butt! I have a 3 hour commute and for people like me (who have 3-4 hour commutes), having access to the lectures without needing to commute is very beneficial in terms of time, money, health, and energy. Great teacher and great tutorials!

Ray is awesome, had him as a TA back in my first year, great teacher. Watched many of his videos for intelligent systems, saved me.

Brilliant mind, amazing person, blessed marker. He makes all the lectures enjoyable and fully recorded for those unavailable for class. Man is the best prof you can get in electrical at ryerson.

Ray is easily one of the best teachers at ryerson, extremely engaged and passionate about the material. After taking his machine learning course i've developed such a deep interest in the matter to the point that it is the main field i would like to work in once i graduate. it's just an absolute shame Ryerson does not have more teachers like him...

Though i was pretty much hopeless in communication systems and never hoped to master it, it was only by accident that i stumbled across Ray's lectures. To say that all the grade I earned in the subject is due to him will not in any way be an understatement. The best teacher regarding this subject that I have ever had. hats off

The best Prof I have ever had. His online materials (Video & PDF) is amazing. He is energetic and explains everything very clearly. It's sad because I know I will never have another prof like him again.

Best prof Ive had. Video lectures are clear and doesnt expect you to go to class (best learning is done on my own time for me). Content is not easy but he makes it easy by knowing his stuff really well.Prepared for lectures,knows exactly what to go over and well organized. My only complaint is hes too hard on himself. Great role model to look up to
