Super cool professor. Even though I don't usually enjoy philosophy, I think he teaches it in such an interesting and clear way that it was truly engaging and made it worth the 8 AM class time. I wouldn't have enjoyed the content nearly as much if any other prof taught it and he is always incredibly considerate of his students.
Incredibly intelligent, you can learn so much from this guy. All things graded require writing, so you should be a good writer (and able to write about the things he talks about in class) to get a good grade. But he is not a difficult grader, so you should be ok! A little disorganized but it honestly adds to his charisma.
His lectures are amazing! Even though they were not mandatory I still looked forward to attending them. He is also a very generous marker. He is a very nice guy who you can tell actually enjoys teaching and helping out his students.
He's got an incredible charisma that makes you want to listen and participate to the whole class. He was also my ta, and never hesitated to help the students that needed help with their finals or with questions. You can also tell he has a lot of knowledge and knows what he's talking about.
took this as a lower liberal and had no past philosophy experience. super fun prof and always started lectures with a story. he's a tough grader though and you need to participate in weekly discussion posts. expect a lot of reading and text analysis
this guy is so great. He definetly talks a lot but if youre interested in philosophy and critical thought hes a great professor.
I liked this prof he was very accommodating, made the material so interesting, and made assignments very clear so you know exactly what to do. A lot of my classes with him were cancelled for his personal reasons I probably only went to 3 classes total and got an A. Great prof and very kind to a students
chill nice guy who genuinely wants the best for his students, pretty unstructured classes and will go off on tangents a lot. main bad part is that he rambles and makes note-taking difficult.
He is engaging when it comes to lecturing, but there is a lot to discuss about him. First of all, he's a tough marker, especially when he has 2 tests and an assignment, with weekly discussion posts. He rambles a lot; if you miss him for a second, you're lost. It wasn't a bird course btw. If you don't like phl, don't take it cuz it seems easy.
I love this man dearly but is he ever a confusing professor. His lectures were very entertaining and funny, and he is amazing to listen to. However, he is deeply disorganized and unclear about what is required for tests/assignments. Multiple people were confused when a test came up, not to add that the material is very confusing and abstract.
