Dr. Espin does not always teach the content clearly, but all necessary material is in her slides, so studying them is key. Assignments are fairly easy, while tests are more challenging. This was for a qualitative research course. Good luck!
grades hardworked assignments poorly, her feedback doesnt match the work.Mentions something already included in the assignment as goals to improve.
Professor Espin is not empathetic towards students, she is a tough grader, and gives poor feedback, so you cannot improve. She has unrealistic expectations of student, and is standoffish and very unapproachable. I had to request to speak to her three times before she made time for me. Does not care about student success.
Having already taken Sherry's class for Qualitative, I can say that having her lead the final practicuum seminar has been a much more positive experience. She is incredibly supportive and makes herself available to students outside of class. She provides constructive feedback that is directly applicable to your professional development. Great Prof!
Although Sherry comes off as a gentle free spirit, she has very high expectations of her grad students. She marks papers very hard and provides little actual constructive feedback, so it is hard to know how to improve. It is difficult to get a straight answer from her, so students are often left feeling confused about concepts.
she gave low scores on group debates and papers. after midterms there were barely students in the class
"Taught" current issues and future perspectives. This prof did not do much teaching so I stopped going to class after week 3. Tricky tests, but easy marker when it comes to papers and projects.
