Go to class! This is a class that requires u to be there and go to her officer hours it will help so much

Here's the positives first. Dr. Tanti offers great feedback on essays and is available for office hours and is very helpful. Here's the negatives. She's a bit of a hard marker, and she explains the homework after you submit it. Other than that, the course material is a bit dry but if you follow instructions you should be fine.

the final exam essay honeslty isnt hard in itself but i found the article its based on to be a really poor choice for this course, the one by Virginia Hefferson. Its a media studies article which offers literally no real analysis to be broadened. The class does supply you with all the neccessary tools for writing a good quality analytical essay.

She gives amazing feedback on essays which really give you an opportunity to improve on future essays. Also super helpful and always willing to answer questions, GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS they made a huge difference. This course content certainly wasn't my favourite, but she made it very doable!

This course was mandatory. Basically an English class. Couldn't say it was my favourite thing but I ended with a good mark. The class is very essay based and really forces you to learn proper English skills. Dr. Tanti gives good feedback and is better than other profs who were teaching the same course (so I've heard). Not bad but not the best.

I had Professor Tanti for my very first semester (online). She knows what she is talking about when it comes to the material but used terminology myself and the class was not overly familiar with. She marks hard BUT if you ask questions and implement her critiques into your next papers, I promise you'll do fine. Overall a really caring/kind prof!!!

She was not clear with her instructions. Assignments would take weeks to get marked, this made it hard for students to look at her feedback to improve on the next assignment. Her marking was unnecessarily hard, I got straight A's all semester except for this class. It brought my GPA down so much. I am so disappointed.

She made my first semester so difficult. If you can take anyone but her, do it. She explains how to do the homework after you hand it in, and she doesn't give good feedback. I took this class because it was mandatory and I was so miserable.

Unkind. Unclear. Unnecessarily strict.

This class is doable IF YOU PUT IN THE EFFORT. She had assignments based on the textbook weekly before class, the instructions are in the textbook, so she WANTS YOU TO READ IT. She won't re-iterate them, you have to do your part honestly. SHE GIVES GREAT FEEDBACK, and bonus 5% was given if you did a draft exchanges with other students via d2L.
