Seminar questions/iclicker marks may be annoying but force you to learn the content and are an easy A if you actually try. Assignments and exams are VERY fair- course is marked by many things so its okay if you mess up. Enza does a good job of explaining course content and makes sure no questions go unanswered- really cares about student success
Other tips: the weekly seminar question responses are annoying but try your best and you'll get 100% - she wants to see that you've put in the effort. The critical appraisal assignment is another easy 90%+ if your responses are detailed enough. Lastly, to get full marks for the presentation use PICO-TS to explain your new research question!
Most of the time her lectures are pointless since she regurgitates what's already on the slides. Her lectures at the end of the semester are more important (i.e., chi-square, etc.), but you can get a 90%+ on the midterm if you know the Aging with Grace novel very well and how it connects to self-explanatory course material. Overall, easy course!
Her lectures were fine except I didn't like her choosing random people to answer questions in class-it made me want to not show up to class. She expects a lot of detail in all assignments and as long as you study well, you should do well on the exams. She didn't use 2 of the 3 required texts and used iClickers for in-class quizzes.
Enza is very friendly and tries her best to explain material and make it more interesting. Slides have all info needed so don't bother with the textbook but read and know ageing with grace for the midterm! Multiple choice are very tricky on the midterm and exam. Specific answers for shorts/long answers along with the assignment are wanted.
She consistently contradicts herself, confuses students, terribly worded midterms, marking scheme all over the place. She's may be a nice person but she sets you up to fail. Do anything to get out of her class.
Do not waste money on buying the textbook for her class. Just attend all lectures, and you will get an A! She is nice and helpful. Tries her best to teach the content. Its an easy course.
Very nice professor. Lectures are a bit confusing and disorganized, although the concepts are fairly straightforward. Definitely read the nun book--all of it. The other textbook is not necessary if you go to class.
Midterm and final was take home with clear guidelines. She is a fair marker and gives feedback. Make sure to read Aging with Grace - it's important for the exams. Check public library before purchasing it. Lectures and textbook aren't important. Discussions may help with test questions. Go to lecture with statistical testing to avoid confusion.
The course material is very dry, but she does try her best to explain it and make sure students understand it. However, if you just read the lectures, you'd be able to get by. Buying "Statistics for People Who Hate Statistics" is a waste of money: you'll never actually need it. Just be sure to read "Aging with Grace" and you'll be fine.
