Uses really helpful examples in lecture, and is quite enthusiastic about the material! Definitely would take another class with him.
Seems like a nice guy, funny too, but lectures weren't all that interesting. His guidelines are quite misleading however. Followed them to study for first midterm - got C. Stopped going to class and studied my way - got A. Many questions on small details from book not covered in class. Appears to be testing how well you read the book, not knowledge
Dr. Brad is a very engaging, enthusiastic professor who is clearly interested in the subject matter. Unlike many profs, he is also an excellent teacher. Friendly, approachable, welcomes questions and feedback. The most clear assignment instructions I have ever received. Interesting course. Fair marker. A++.
Not everyone will like the course content, but in my opinion "Dr. Brad" really does a great job of making it engaging. He is an enthusiastic, highly knowledgeable and down-to-earth instructor. The course is not a "free ride," but as someone else said, university SHOULD be about challenging yourself and the taking time to understand the material.
Prof. Meisner is a competent, engaging lecturer with a great sense of humour. He is punctual, positive and never missed a class, and always did what he said he would when it came to tests and assignments. Tests were fair (we are in university people), lectures were fun to attend, and marking was fair as well. I highly recommend this prof!
Dr.Brad Meisner helps a lot in office hours. His exams are mostly multiple choice questions which are incredibly tricky and require thinking, evaluation and application. Start reading the textbook from day one and a B grade is likely.
AMAZING PROF! I thoroughly enjoyed his intro to psych class. makes the class fun and interesting. i learned a lot from him, and unlike most other comments here i thought his tests were fair and not too complicated! Just read the textbook chapters and go to class. I left the class wanting to take more psych courses and hopefully have him again!
He's a nice & fun prof, makes class interesting, but wouldn't be my first choice. On the test, many questions are quite tricky (I'm not talking about application question); many questions are on the material that didn't appear to be important on lectures; can ask any smallest thing which was never mentioned & with little emphasis even in the book
Difficult marker and tests do not always follow what appeared to be key points from lectures. Though he definitely can be funny at time, I left the course feeling as though I hadn't learned much.
