Michael Doucet

Doucet knows everything about Toronto. However, not sure if it's him or the TA, but to get an A is difficult. You will get your paper back stating very good paper and yet you get a B+. Then, if you want to argue your mark, he states that it is a guarantee you will get a lower grade automatically. This is illegal. Easy class but hard marker.

Doucet is a great prof, and the class is extremely easy. Like other posters have said, no need to buy the book but you may need a reading or two for one of the assignments. FYI he said his class sizes are growing, so the course structure might change. Still a good guy and he knows his stuff so its worth taking..prob wont make it too much harder.

Interesting course. Class size is big. Most likely get B to A- range. Your mark depend on who mark them at random: TA or Doucet. Low textbook usage & not easy to get over 85%. Emphasis on writing/grammar skills.

Best. course/prof. ever. This man knows his stuff about Toronto. You'll sit in class constantly interested in what he is talking about.

the ULTIMATE bird course. No need to go to a single lecture or even buy the book. You could complete the entire course in probably 20hours. The lectures were actually somewhat interesting and I learned a lot about Toronto. Such a nice relaxing course, I wish more upper libs were like this

This guy knows everything about Toronto. Amazing professor, very helpful and down to earth. No need to buy the textbook, or even go to the lectures. I went to most lectures since they were extremeing interesting, and you get an appreciation about the history of Toronto. A very easy, fun, and relaxing course. Amazing professor, who marks fair.

He is an extremely good teacher! He really know alots about the Greater Toronto Area. I am so glad that I took a class with him!
