Markus Sharaput

A lot of first years commenting. Probably the best pog prof I had throughout the program. The guy doesn't like bs, he expects you to understand the course material and engage w it. The guy is a gifted speaker, and if you give half a shh about the topic you'll never be bored in class. Mr Sharaput if you read this you're awesome keep it up.

Prior going to this class, I thought it would be about watching movies that relate with politics. Clearly, I was proven wrong. This course is full on full politics theory with 5 min clips from movies. His slides aren't good, they were no help to us. His essay topics are very confusing as well and he isn't fond of going over the essay either.

Doesn't care the least bit about the students, but as a first year prof he truly introduces University expectations. His lectures are deep, interesting, and thought-provoking.. However, they are not linear and are sometimes unclear. He doesn't mark anything you do, doesn't even know your face, but will teach you a whole lot if you listen in class.

He rambled on quite a bit, but his lectures were always amusing and interesting (if not always relevant). His exam was confusing, he seemed to like trick question in the multiple choice and the essay questions were derivative. Focus on the main themes of the course, as that will help you the most for the essays on the exam.

Super Entertaining! Great at keeping the class engaged! The tutorials were helpful too. Fair marker. Was a great experience overall! Markus is the best! :D

Really great lectures with current material. Printouts of the slides are a must. Makes politics very accessible to those without much prior knowledge. Great with extensions for those with the access centre - one week no need for direct approval. Essays are a bit of a challenge for those uninitiated with research methods. Use the librarians.
