One of the nicest profs I've had! Professor Xiang is accommodating and willing to help students achieve the grade they want. She will also provide multiple bonus opportunities to boost midterm marks and responds to emails quickly with clear instructions. Labs and Assignments are easy to do and a great opportunity to explore AWS. 10/10
One of the best profs at TMU. She responds to emails quickly, very accommodating, and wants to see you succeed. Assignments and labs are very useful to get to know AWS if you want to go into cloud computing.
Professor Junlian Xiang is by far one of the most kind and generous professors out there. She truly cares about the success of the class and gave us bonus marks if you did poorly on the midterm. She responds pretty quickly to emails but if you have questions about the content, her explanations are decent enough to understand. Overall amazing prof!
Prof is nice, gave optional bonus marks for completing reviews. Quizzes were a bit rough since it was a low question count, iirc 30~ questions, so each one weighed a lot! Assignments were fine, similar to ITM500 in the sense ur grinding the questions and looking up SQL server and T-SQL docs. Overall a bit time consuming, but useful stuff.
Looking at the reviews I thought she would be a great prof, but that was not the case. Lectures were extremely difficult to understand due to her heavy accent and terrible microphone. Her powerpoints are all over the place, practically useless. This course could have gone way better if another ITM prof had taught this. Avoid this prof.
Great course, ended up with a low 90. This prof is so easy on her students. Weekly assignments took 30 mins to 1 hour to do. Group project was basically creating diagrams and the textbook helps with that. Midterm and final was very straight forward. Take it as a PR, easy A.
This course came up in my final semester after 5 years, and I can attest that this is the most caring prof. She goes above and beyond to help you understand things and resolve group issues, often following up offering extra help! No other prof cares this much which is amazing. Just need a bit more confidence / relaxed in front of students.
She's such a great professor overall, but mostly just read off the slides and expects you to know it for the midterm and final. However, with that being said, she's super caring and is very lenient and generous with the midterm and final exam. Make sure to have a decent group for your group report and you will do great in this course.
Extremely nice and friendly. Lab activities are a bit disorganized and must be asked for clarification or examples a lot. She takes attendance and takes note on who participates. The course itself is not difficult but it's expected for you to put a lot of detail and effort into the assignments/group work that may seem super simple/tedious.
Clarity was somewhat difficult. Tries to help going through the material. Project was long since there was a lot of material to go through, but again she can help you .Midterm and final were very fair.
