Julia Forgie

One of the best professors here at UofT, lectures are intriguing and she genuinely cares about her students. Brings us cute fidget toys and name tags each lecture and that is enough being said. Her markings are quite special though, she gives out very exact marks like a 12.18 or 23.67 but apart from that, great prof I love her

Hands down the best professor at UofT. Take any class you can with her, I promise that you will not regret it.

Julia is the best. So caring, always there to answer questions and makes her lectures fun and interesting. She offers a lot of opportunities for engagement. The 3-hour lecture feels long, but she's the best. Marks fairly and the assignments are fun! Planning on taking every class she teaches :)

Julia is the best! She's super supportive and responds really quickly to any questions. Her slides do often have a lot of info, but she breaks it down in a thoughtful way and has interesting assignments that often have people working in groups together which is awesome because the EDS community is super.

Professor Forgie is amazing!! She represents the small education department at Vic with pride. Loved her classes, she is so accommodative and caring, don't be afraid to ask for help or extensions if needed. Course content is taught clearly, and activities in class are engaging and fun! Would absolutely recommend the Vic one education stream!

I've had the privilege to take multiple classes with Julia! She is a great prof and despite how busy she tends to be she's still amazing at communicating and addressing concerns/questions. Definitely take a class with her if you can.

Dr. Forgie's care and love for her students really shine in this course. Glad to see it moved down to the 2nd year level as it lacked content to be considered a 3rd year course. Lots of group work and projects, but never felt overwhelming. Easy to listen to and accessible outside of class. Love her!

Such a great prof. Engaging and entertaining lectures. Super caring and very approachable. Not an easy marker but not unfair either. Takes attendance every class so go and pay attention! Tests aren't hard and are more than fair. Would definitely recommend!!

She uses real life examples when teaching her lectures and always has me intrigued in her class. I'm sad that she is going on maturity leave. I won't have her in term two. I wish her all the best with her new baby. :)

Her expectations for students in the uppers years completely different compared to being in the lower years. She marks very hard and if there is a choice definitely choose another prof ! She also takes attendance each week and gets to know everyone's names in the class even if you don't participate in class.
