Reads slides for lectures. Does not seem very confident about the material or teaching. Lacks practical experience in the field of social work which is probably why she cannot connect the material to real-life practice situations. Class was boring. I really did not enjoy it at all and was relieved when it finally ended.

Appears NOT confident and do not know her stuff! lectures are taught by reading powerpoints to the class. I did this course mostly by self-study. Really not happy and not fun experience!

This class ruined Addictions for me. Talked about way too many philosophical crap that won't help me at all when I go out in to the field, a complete and total waste of time, money and sleep. I should have dropped the course when I had the chance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COURSE, YOUR SANITY DEPENDS ON IT!

Research part 1 - Ms. Sladek appears to be knowledgable but, has a hard time portraying the infomration to her students. She is inconsistent and only describes vague concepts. :(

Very helpful if you go to talk to her during her office hours. Makes class very interesting and uses lots of pop culture, youtube clips in her class. At times class can be overwhelming or intense simply based on the material discussed... especially when talking about feminist body therapy. But overall, great!
