I have taken 4 courses with Percy and they are not an ordinary prof, they are extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about every subject that they teach in class, you will learn a lot. Oh BTW, get ready to have an amazing feast at the end of the semester, they like to bring things/events into closure with a beautiful ceremony. Love you Percy
Worst Prof. Angry, impatient, rude, judgmental, a bully!
Percy is one of the best professors I have ever had. They encourage class discussion and I found this to enhance my learning a lot. They listen to what every student is saying and challenge your learning and things you think you know. This course, and the other course I have taken with Percy has left me with so much knowledge in Social Justice.
Percy really challenges you and your line of thinking. If you give a response they will ask you "why do you think that?" or just outright call you out in front of the class. If you are a shy person do not take their class. If you enjoy group discussion that challenges your thinking, this is a good class. Slightly hard marker. Would take again tho.
Percy is a good professor but very hard grader. You must participate in the discussions if you want a good grade, so you must have a good understanding of the topics beforehand which does not make sense. Topics are usually very serious which makes class heavy - I would leave every class feeling exhausted. Would not take a class with Percy again.
Personally I wouldn't take Percy as a professor again. I didn't feel comfortable in their class, which resulted in a lack of participation on my part. I'm the type that prefers to listen in class but I would say if you are willing to be challenged and be uncomfortable in class Percy would be a good choice. Attendance is important.
Best prof i have ever had in my entire university career. Hope to take more classes with them in the future! They really care about their students, as long as they put in the work and are willing to be uncomfortable in class discussion.
Preaches AOP but oppresses students by refusing to answer questions while creating a divisive classroom. Would ask student "what do you leave at the door?" and students would reply in unison " your Christianity". Percy judges students based on physical appearance ; "privileged" or "oppressed" without caring about student integrity.
Percy is a fantastic professor who will challenge you to learn more than you may have thought possible in one course. They make their students engage in learning and make you work for your grades. They are very understanding though, which provides a good balance to the high expectations. If you have the chance, take Percy's classes!
Always seemed angry and made us feel like her class was an imposition.
