Craig is a professional first and foremost but he is also a reasonable prof who will make himself available outside of class to ensure you do well on the term assignment. The tests are extremely reasonable. Group work is always a bit of a challenge but that is to be expected. He is more qualified than many of the Ryerson instructors @ SURP.
Not very clear on what he wants on the term assignment, and does not prepare the students to do financial calculations that are necessary for that assignment. The lectures are long but straightforward, just prepare to type fast.
Great Class. Go through the course lectures before class. Midterm and Finals are not hard at all(Easy to get at least 70%). Assignment is another thing however. It will depend on your ability to communicate findings
-He has very long lectures, talking in a very dry voice. Rarely does anything to get the class involved. -Teaches on the assumption that the class knows what he's talking about -Marks very hard, is not negotiable, gives very little information on what the midterm and major assignment includes.
Craig is very mono-toned. His lectures are super long, I can't help but surf the internet just to keep my sanity.
Definitely has a huge ego. To do well in this class, simply repeat back what he says. Don't do anything else. You'll do fine.
if ur in business dont take this elective cuz midterm will be very low. this course is a city n their use of funds.. im a finance major.. and i found that i wrote gud on the midterm, but the short essay questions were marked sooo brutally. n project/essay topics werent that interesting.
like the previous poster, Binning is hard. If you are not a planning student, don't take it because us planning students are required to take it. This course wouldn't be hard if it weren't for 4th year studio class which sucks up free time of the week. He posts slides but doesn't post exam review slides so you go to class for dat
He's in the industry and only teaches this course at ryerson.a core course for the planning students, but my advice to the business students whom might take this elective, dont take it. midterm is straight forward but class average very low. he wants exact replica definitions and only gives very low marks. The TA we had, marked even harder!
