3-4 assignments, a midterm, final, and a lab quiz during tutorials. Attendance is not mandatory for lectures, so can't speak on those. But his slides + textbook were enough to study. He is also approachable and helpful when it comes to questions about the content itself. Very fair midterm/final! Lab quiz questions are taken from practice problems!
Fantastic professor who teaches clearly. He could not have made this course anymore straightforward. Strongly recommend taking this course if you'd like to take MTH814.
Dr. Delic is an excellent professor who is able to clearly explain concepts. MTH714 builds on your understanding of discrete mathematics. The assignments are relatively straightforward and refer to concepts covered in the lecture slides. The midterm and final exam closely resembled the previous year's exams, but the prolog part can get tricky.
The course itself was hard because it requires mathematical maturity along with familiarity in graph theory, logic & computability, formal languages and automata theory. Basically, MTH607 and MTH714 will help you understand MTH814. Most of the questions are application-based. The assignments were hard but the midterm and final exam were a bit easy.
Delic is ok and lectures are really boring! 814 was the most awful course I've ever taken. Assignments are VERY VERY hard but the tests weren't bad. He gave 24 hours for the midterm, and 36 for the final.
Delic is really good! His lectures can be boring because he speaks very quietly, but he does a lot of examples and is more than willing to elaborate on anything that isn't clear. Very fair midterm and final, study the previous years provided evaluations and you'l do fine.
Explains everything pretty clearly. Very helpful in office hours. Doesn't look at you when he's talking. Tests and assignments are very fair and straightforward.
Amazing prof, he knows the material quite well. His tests are fair & he also gives you old versions of it. His lectures tend to be kind of boring but he is a very nice guy and helpful during office hours. The course is quite heavy on proofs and is a continuation of 110. He tends to not make eye contact when he is not talking to you.
Professor Delic is awesome. He makes math easy and he is more than willing to elaborate on anything that is unclear. In his office hours he will help you work through any problems you need help with. His tests are extremely fair, and he gives you old versions of the test that really prepare you for your own test. Would HIGHLY recommend.
Amazing prof, very clear while he is teaching and you actually understand what he's talking about. No matter how hard the lecture might get, Delic turns it into the easiest lecture ever. I've taken both calc 1 and discrete 1 by him and they were a breeze. I wish their were more profs like Delic.
