Very kind and knowledgeable, you have to study for the tests, and you will be good.
For FSN631. He is a very kind and caring prof however, it is very slow and he rambles a lot. The tests sometimes have nothing to do with what I studied, resulting in lower marks. The content is very historical based. 2 group projects, 3 tests and everything is weighted 10% or 15% so it is very tedious. Great guy though.
For FSN631(new course). Slow, rambles and gets sidetracked, very unorganized. He is very lenient on projects which was actaully worse because we were so off schedule with class presentations. 2 GROUP PROJECTS (50% of your grade) which absolutly sucked as your grade depends on others. Class was soo boring despite the interesting subject matter.
Osmud is extremely knowledgeable and well prepared for every lecture. He communicates expectations for projects clearly. His projects are reasonably challenging yet packed with so much useful info. He is understanding, pleasant, intelligent and easily one of the best profs I have had. Very grateful!
Professor Rahman is very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. For FSN 400, the workload is light and he makes sure to provide clear instruction and consistent support for the group project, which is the focus of the course. His lectures sometimes get slightly boring, but they are not long, especially if you watch the short PowerPoints before class.
Lecture hard to understand, use unclear examples in test, miss leading, confusing questions, unskillful teaching methodology. Worse experience in university.
Osmud is a great prof. I've been fortunate to have him twice at Ryerson. Yes, he has a heavy Chinese accent but I think the reviews here saying he's difficult to understand is unfair. He makes every effort to be sure students understand what he is asking and teaching. He also makes himself easily available outside of class. Very caring!
Does not know how to lecture or make a slideshow, rambles on and on, but then marks you on it. At 9am he puts the whole class to sleep and those who are awake never actually has their lecture notes open. He is extremely unclear, & marks you on material he does not indicate you to read on the syllabus, but expects you to because it is on D2L. AVOID
LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
very nice and understanding
