I LOVE SILVANA. Such a nice prof and is very accessible to help you with anything. Explains why material is necessary to learn and will break concepts down if you ask. Lectures cover a lot sometimes a multiple chapters per class but everything is made clear and we always stop for questions and breaks. My favourite prof at tmu.
One of the best profs I've had. Lectures & notes follow textbook, though she doesnt post them (posts slides but they're more general than the notes). Tests are reasonable, lots of material covered in labs (which is basically lots of examples) were really helpful. Lots of computations&writing, little theory but thats bc of the nature of the content.
Very kind and trustworthy Professor. Always willing to clarify course concepts in class, through emails, or office hours. Assignments are tough but doable with time and revision. Use the textbook thoroughly as the lectures are based on it (lectures are optional since you can just use the textbook and posted homework as a study guide).
very good and caring professor. The exams are straight forward if you know the assignments and the sample exams as they are similar. The only downside is lots of notetaking and very fast paced. otherwise a very good prof overall.
She was a good professor because she wrote down during lectures exactly what we needed to study for on the midterm and also the final. It is just calculations and if you don't have an idea how to do that she will help you understand the material. She makes the final easy to do because you get two double sided cheat-sheets.
She's a nice person but this course is horrible - if you are a math student you will be bored out of your mind. The entire course is literally just evaluating numerical algorithms by hand, no theory is taught, just brute force computations with calculators. Get good at using your calculator fast cause that's literally all this course tests lol
She is a kind and caring prof, the midterm and final are both easy and she is accessible outside of office hours. If you need help or are lost, she will explain stuff to you. Sometimes her lectures might seem a little slow or boring but she is a good prof
One of the nicest and most helpful profs I've had at TMU. Great lectures and notes (though they aren't posted so have to attend class), very fair tests and assignments, and gives her students many opportunities to succeed with extensions, practice tests, and dropping lower marks. I'm not sure how she doesn't have a 5/5, would definitely recommend.
She's the most fair professor I've taken. Her assignments are hard, but the exams are WAAAAAY easier. She also cares about the students and gives us a curve or extra help when we need it. The only bad thing about her is that she's like an audiobook when teaching; she just reads of the textbook and writes down on the board.
The prof is pretty monotonous and she really wants to finish as much as she can. The first few days, she went really fast but she found her pace by the third day. Her exams are EASY and though, she goes word by word from the textbook, I found actually going to the lectures is very helpful. Tip: Sample exam and actual exam will be VERY similar!
