Robert Denning

Rob significantly enhanced the enjoyment and reduced the stress of organic chemistry labs, despite the course's fast pace. He is approachable and always offers help when needed. The course included pre-lab quizzes, reports, and a final exam, all of which were fair and content was covered in the labs.

I'm suprised at the negative reviews. Rob was really fun and was one of few TA's that made me feel comfortable enough to ask questions. He always joked around and always helped me and my partner when we needed help (which was a lot lol). I would definitely recommend him to anyone taking this lab. He's super nice, caring, and good at responding.

The few times he entered the lab he was rude, nit-picking, calls everyone out in front of class. He made me nervous to do the lab when he looms over you. Switch labs if you want a calmer, supportive environment.

Instead of guiding his students and giving them useful feedback to improve, he flat out talks down to them. Hes extremely intimidating to approach for help cause 9/10 times he will embarrass you in front of the class and make you feel stupid for asking a question.

He is not supportive and doesn't really explain the material. he failed his research and doesn't want you to become successful.

Rob is simply just awesome. VERY HELPFUL and truly wants his students to succeed.

He is the best. He really cares about your education and you. He takes his time explaining things to make sure you thoroughly understand. Really nice guy.

I had him as a TA for gen chem 2 at chang during 2012 summer. He doesn't really explain what he wants from you for the lab reports. He marks tough and doesn't give any hints. Overall nice guy but not the type of TA that will help you and I really wouldn't take a course he taught cuz I would could imagine him giving some really hard tests.
