Francis is clearly passionate about his work and hobbies, however he gets caught up in personal stories a lot. You have to ask a lot of questions in order for him to slow down. However, he gives clear feedback on tests and assignments and always ends class early. He makes little jokes that always made me laugh. Nice guy!
He is a very smart teacher but it was an extremely hard course, though he used many methods to teach us I still did not learn all I had wanted to learn.
Very bright man who is trying to make a difficult and often feared subject interesting. I found the class okay! It was a challenge.
Unfortunately, Francis Hare does not put much effort into teaching the ISS students or even caring about them. He is a really nice person but he should not be the director of the program. I had him for methods and it was really useless and I did not learn anything nor did I receive any good feedback or guidance. We were basically left on our own
Really nice guy, really funny stories, but very boring class...
When ever you ask a question he always refers you to the handouts or to the books or to something else other then answering the question directly! He does not like to be challenged on anything so as long as you suck up you will be fine.
Francis is a very smart man, but I think he forgets that we are students sometimes trying to learn. Francis's classes are more difficult then other CYC classes, so you have to attend them. He doesn't like his systems or beliefs to be challenged, but he is okay at answering questions, when you can understand him.
a very helpful man but very boring. His classes are important to attend but it is very hard to stay awake. He speaks in a very monotone voice and rambles on about things that are unimportant. Drink lots of coffee!!
