I actually was in professor Quinn's class at UofT in a social work class related to Indigenous people. Dr.Quinn I believe is a great professor and researcher but unprofessional in how she treated certain students who may not have had her level of awareness on topics. She would embarrass and misinterpret certain students in the course.
Ashley is incredibly knowledgeable on the subject of First Nations Issues, and shares her passion with students easily. Using First Nations teaching traditions, she imparts a lot of information in a way that is memorable and easy to learn. Expect to participate in a meaningful way, and to work for the credit, but to feel fulfilled upon completion.
- Initially gained the likes of students by appearing approachable. - Refused to make lecture slides because she wouldn't "doggy feed" material to us. - Taking students to the hall to yell at them - Criticized someone interested in working with CAS "money hungry" - Seemed to have a chip on her shoulder always.
Ashley is smart, devoted and sensitive. Everything you want in an instructor and more.
