She's Amazing!!!

The lectures were often difficult to follow and did not fully match the course expectations. Key concepts were not always clearly explained, and students sometimes seemed expected to already know the material. I would appreciate clearer grading criteria and more consistent class structure to better support learning.

PY was extremely rude when she was my prof. She was biased towards students, and is an extremely tough grader.

I do strongly believe this class is a good course to have but i do not recommend her as your professor. I would switch to the other professors. I have respect for her and her work but her treatment of students and teaching methods are questionable. Grading is tough and her instructions are unclear. Expectations are very high and overwhelming.

I've had her in a few classes and she's a pretty tough grader. Sometimes she's absolutely lovely and can help quite a bit but at other times she can be very condescending. Her instructions can be very unclear and she gets angry if you ask for clarification as she often perceives it as an insult to her own skills.

All the 1-star rating are true. Condescending, tough-grader, expects you to be an expert, too vague.

I took Fashion Design I with PY and loved it. She goes into detail when teaching but she is happy to explain things to you again either during a class work period or during office hours. She covers a lot of material in one lecture but as long as you attend regularly you should be able to keep up. Gives great constructive feedback.

Super hard marker. She expects everyone to be an expert at sewing right away. Her instructions are really unclear and she moves too fast through her lectures. She's very blunt and direct. Fashion Design has always been my dream but this class is difficult for me to enjoy. Please be cautious in taking her class. Make sure you can sew!!
