GOATELHO! his grading is tough but I've learned the most I ever have.

Dr botelho is a nice guy but his course is flawed. Unrealistic assignments with bad TAs. Some people get 100s for writing less information/correctiveness and others who write more receive less marks. He says you need to do the assignments to “learn how to struggle” but in reality no matter how hard you try you won't get perfect.

You can't just be so strict about saying oh don't ask me for bumps to A+ like how come some people get 100 while others get 60s on assignments even though all the answers are the same? It's not our responsibility to ask for regrades it's the responsibility of your TAs to mark according to one strict rubric, we shouldn't have to argue for marks

Dr Botelho is very enthusiastic, great at teaching, and cares about students developing skills. But respectfully, he needs to accept that students can know content without matching his exact marking scheme. It is easy to lose a lot marks on assignments due to this pickiness. He was kind enough to offer bonus points in class, though.

Good professor, can teach well, lectures are a little repetitive. His TA's on the other hand......

Agreed with the last person, dr botelho it seems like you think only your way of thinking is right and no one else's is and it clearly rubs off on your delulu TA's they are on a extreme power trip. Ego issues? People can be right even if they don't state things exactly how you want them to be stated…students suffer because of this

Botelho and all his TA's onna massive power trip jus cuz yall have a phd or wtv doesn't mean anything like I swear no male ta jus all females who think they're something. Botelho can teach good but he's gotta hidden ego just like all of his TAs

Love Botelho, he's definitely one of the very few engaging profs I've had at TMU and really tries to drive concepts into your brain. That being said, he has HIGHLY SPECIFIC marking schemes and TAs that take away marks even when they match the answer key. You will get dogged.

Absolutely amazing professor. He is very passionate about what he teaches. It's not mandatory to go to his classes but if you want to pass with a good mark, you MUST go and make sure your notes are detailed! His tests aren't difficult if you study efficiently - ensure you know everything really well and how they work like a puzzle. Don't memorize!

Good prof. Can teach very well. Very sassy tho.
