Incredibly enthusiastic about what he teaches and how he teaches. Entertaining in class. Easily approachable and a generous marker. Just talk to the guy you'll have a good time.
Goated prof, cares about students, fair grader, engaging lectures, really great overall. Would recommend going to lectures since sometimes what he presents in lectures is different from the slides he uploads to the D2L, but overall I really loved this course and his teaching of it
Dr. Burns is very kind and passionate. Hell always try to be helpful and gives great feedback, but as the class size gets bigger its harder for him to help as much. The lectures are a bit long winded but the seminars and essay are easy to do with just the readings he posts.
Conor does his best to ruin his students' lives. He will go out of his way to make sure you suffer. He single handedly almost made me not graduate because he refused to upload my final grades on time, and I personally had to contact multiple departments in order for him to upload them, but not without him sending me an email criticizing me.
Conor Burns is by far the worst educator I ever had. Conor seems nice at first, but then his quick temper quickly shows. Conor is the type of person who collects information on others only so that he can use it against them later. Conor is underhanded. Conor's speech is unclear. I do not believe for a second that Conor grades students fairly.
Professor Conor Burns is awesome!! Definetly take his class, he's so interesting and he really tries his best with lectures. One of my favourite profs at TMU!!
Dr. Burns is absolutely amazing, however I will agree he can be a bit ruffled at times, yet he marks fairly considering this. For midterms and finals he is very understanding of the shift to in person, plus he always posts a question guide with *most* of the questions on there. Finally, be prepared to read for his courses as there can be a lot.
Overall Dr. Burns is a pretty great professor! He's very fair in his marking of assignments and he is kind to his students. His assignment instructions are clear and easy to understand. His lectures can get a bit drawn out as he does ramble on quite a bit but they are good for the most part. I highly recommend taking a course with this professor!
Too much reading and assignment for this course. This proff is very unorganized, he gives marks from the top of his head without giving explanation. Does not care about his students. If you want your grades to be based on how he feels that day, then take this course if not then pass on it.
This professor is hands down one of my favourite at ryerson, hes engaging, knowledgeable, and always accessible outside of class. He assigns a few books for the seminars, which can be a bit long, but they are a very cool read, plus this content is super interesting. Lastly he marks extremely fair and if you follow his instructions, you will do fine
