Great prof, unlikable group project
Read your textbook! Make sure to never skip class, as you will have daily quizzes throughout the whole lecture! He is a very kind and caring professor. I would definitely take a class that he teaches again!
His accent can make it a little hard to understand, but he is very understanding and slows down. There are in-class iClicker quizzes that aren't accessible outside class, so don't go to the washrooms unless its break. His midterm was from his slides. The final was tough, so do study for that. Report was fairly easy to do, just follow the rubric.
Zhen Lu is a very sweet man and knows a lot about the industry. My main issue was that he was very monotone and dragged out what could be a 30 minute to 1hour lecture to 3 full hours every week. Don't go to the bathroom unless its a break, you will miss the clicker quiz. Not a bad prof, go to office hours and let him get to know you, it helps.
He is a good professor and cares about his students. Make sure he learns your name! His lectures are not too long, but they can be a bit dry. He is a harder grader in comparison to other HTM professors. Overall, he is a good prof and HTL130 is a very interesting course.
He is very passionate to teach this course. He allows us to get to know the industry through various valuable guest speakers and explains the concepts thoroughly
Professor Lu is a good guy, and tries- although his class is pretty brutal. He gives clicker quizzes every class, but doesn't teach you what's on them until after the quiz. He is unorganized and his slides have almost no information. It's not a very well organized class, so learning is hard
It is clear he has a lot of experience in this subject. He allows us to get to know the industry through various valuable guest speakers and explains the concepts thoroughly. Overall, a great prof!
