If you ever see his name as an instructor, immediately enrol in his section! He is genuinely one of the sweetest people ever- very helpful, understanding, and even puts in the effort of knowing his students' names. His lectures are very informative, and not just that, but his exams are extremely fair as he only tests concepts from his lectures.
Hes explains everything well. Only puts stuff taught in the lectures on the test, so if you dont attend the lectures you wont pass. Attend the class and participate and you will get a good mark.
One of the best profs I had at Ryerson. You can tell he really knows the material and he gives lots of real-world examples with each concept which makes everything easier to remember. As long as you show up to class and take good notes you'll do really well on the exams, he's a fair marker.
He treats the class like its law school. Passionate and detailed prof but a tough marker. Put in the work to do well
Great prof! Midterms and exams were based on only what he taught in class so nothing out of the blue. Some questions on exams are from examples in class. MC questions are pretty long. For long answers, quality over quantity for sure. Uses real life examples and news so we can relate. Very engaging and you can tell he has a passion for law.
Kaufman was by far the best professor I have had at Ryerson. His lectures were engaging and his real life experience as a lawyer was SO much more valuable than a typically dry textbook reading. You could tell he loves the subject, is passionate, and actually puts a lot of effort into his classes. (Linkedin: also taught previously at McGillOttawa.)
Prof Kaufman is great! Course offered last summer was interesting, engaging, with a practical emphasis on how the law is used. This prof has taught in the law faculty at McGill and Ottawa U, so he knows his stuff. Recommend him highly.
He is a great professor. This class is not easy and can be boring by just reading the text but he made it so interesting. His exams are fair and he had no fails. Both midterm 1 and 2 are multyple choice questions. He is by far the best teacher I have had at Ryerson. Everything he teaches anyone can related to real life.
He was an excellent prof, with real life examples that made a seemingly dry course quite interesting. I did decently well, learned a lot, and found the course to be on the whole a good experience. Someone earlier said he had no teaching experience but that's false, as he said he taught at McGill previously. So yep, he was great!
not as informative as other instructors. other guys stick to the materials where this person wanders off, overall he was ok but exam was unfair and 2nd midterm was unstructured.
