She is kind of just a text to speech generator. Sometimes she says something of substance otherwise she reads word for word off the slides. Honestly research is not too bad just study on your own and you will be okay.
I can't speak on how Jennifer is as a lab prof but as a lecturer she needs to learn some respect and be a role model for her students. The quality of her lectures directly correlates with how many students show up that day. She actively finds reasons to be upset and uses a rude tone in communication. She is akin to a police officer on a power trip.
helpful and kind prof, may be intimidating.
I had Jennifer as my FA for a full year, and she was truly the best. I honestly do not understand why her rating is low. She consistently responded to emails very quickly, was always supportive, and inspired students to grow both academically and personally. If you have Jennifer as your FA in your fourth year, you should feel very fortunate.
Jennifer was by far the best professor I've had so far. Her labs are informational, and she's stern on class participation but for good reason and intention. After participating in answering her questions in class, and making little jokes on the side with her one on one, she reveals her sweet side, and loves a little laugh + grades very lenient!
I strongly recommend doing the readings and practicing every weekend. I had this professor; she was okay but somewhat intimidating. Important details were sometimes unclear, and exam hints did not always match the test. Do not rely on slides alone. Attend every lecture and study beyond what is presented. DO READINGS AND ATTEND LECTURE.
Her slides are a terrible monstrosity to go through when reviewing or studying for tests. Not to mention she leaves everything (crucial or not) blank to force students to attend her dry lectures. All she does is read straight off the slides & doesn't elaborate on anything. Her required readings are ridiculously long, heavy & unrealistic.
Professor Jennifer is professional, fair, and very organized. She responds quickly to emails and returns grades fast. She may seem reserved at first, but she's supportive once you get to know her. Follow her guidelines and you'll find she's dedicated and wants students to succeed. She's very policy focused, but it's not in a bad way.
good professor. comes off as monotone and scary, but u realize if u engage with her and go into class with an open mind then its actually quite chill and enjoyable - never the content only the vibes. grading is fair read the rubric properly. What you give is what you get. u can learn a lot just from her stories and experiences.
Prof. Jennifer was pretty kind and empathetic. Her lectures could be a little dry but the content for PPN 402 isn't the most enjoyable. She isn't a bad person but is a little particular with assignment criteria but always willing to help. She is easy to talk to and mostly a positive professor. I wouldn't mind having her again.
