great prof, passionate and kind. content is interesting as well!
I have been taking lots of courses and this by far the was the worst one. I spend 5 hours a day on this course and get the lowest mark compared to other courses. The prof has made my life miserable I can't wait for this term to finish I just thank God that I don't have to deal with the prof for the rest of my life it's only 3 months of hell
One of the best professors I have encountered during my time at TMU. I had him for a healthcare law course. The information was interesting and informative. A hard but fair marker, if you know your stuff and are willing to put in the effort you will have no problems.
Michael Newman is a great professor. I had him for an online law class and found his lectures and resources to be quite helpful. When I didn't understand a concept, he was very quick to answer my discussion post in the Q&A forum. He is a tough marker and extremely particular, however you will easily get an A+ if you know your stuff.
I absolutely loved his classes. He encouraged participation, taught with real life examples/stories to help us understand concepts. The assignments and exams were exactly what he prepared us for.
Laziest professor in my educational experience. Never leaves any feedback on any assignments or test, so you never know how to improve throughout the course. Marking is inconsistent as he does not seem to care about grammar. The class textbook is not necessary in order to get an A in this course. Replies to emails quickly.
Hes pretty chill but man he marks hard... I always thought i come out of his tests feeling good until i see the marks. Get ready to read A LOT and you have to work for your marks. Even DB are marked hard.
To be honest, I have not had much interaction personally with him but did fairly well because I read all his ppts and did all the discussions. By no means is he an easy marker, I put a lot of thought into my posts and responses and never got perfect. Just do everything on time and no trick questions on the test.
Usually discussion post dates are told in the course outline, but he only tells you a few days before. This makes it hard for individuals who work full-time and have families who can't always check to see if he decided to have a post this week. But the content was easy overall, and his testing wasn't hard. Overall, this professor isn't the worst.
