Jane is a nice and understanding professor who definitely cares about her students. She is also very lenient with the marking. Definitely recommend!
Jane is truly the best FA you could have. She is straightforward and blunt but in a loveable way. She has clear marking criteria and follows the course outline. She made the third year so much more manageable and is very good with reading/replying to emails early in the morning! love love love her. If you have Jane as an FA you are very lucky :)
Jane was an absolute sweetheart to have as an FA. She is extremely kind and doesn't add any unnecessary stress to completing the course. She may come off as a little intimidating at first, but she actually is very sweet, straightforward and avoids overcomplicating things.
Having Jane as an FA was a good experience, as she is nice and will accommodate students if needed. During weekly meetings, she always allows students to address any concerns they have about assignments or their placement. Sometimes she can take a while to reply to emails but overall she was a joy to have during the semester.
Jane Harrison is a very nice faculty advisor to have. Sometimes she takes some time to answer emails but, she is always supportive. Her marking is super fair. She is always available to talk after zoom meets and was very understanding about our learning plans. Overall great FA
Jane is a lovely prof! I had her for first sem and now again for second. She sometimes hard to reach, but is very understanding. When asking questions or for feedback, be sure to be specific. She is very straight to the point and doesn't drag on points meaninglessly. Stay back to speak with her, or arrange a meeting and don't be shy! She's so nice!
Incredibly nice and helpful.
Shes super kind and approachable. Shes also willing to help you improve your mark on papers.
Jane is a really nice person that you can talk to about everything. However, as a teacher, she is not fair with grades. She does not provide clear grading criteria and marks based on her mood rather than what students actually deserve. Asking for advice on papers is pointless since she is not aware of them either.
I found Jane's marking variable. Most of the time I got perfect on the assignments and the odd one I failed, but in the end it is just a pass/fail grade. But I didn't find that she made us do any extra work, just what is required in the syllabus. I wasn't thrilled about the focus on facilitation scenarios that took up most of the meeting time.
