Howard rarely answers his emails, so goodluck getting a hold of him outside of class. The class itself was pretty easy. 2 midterms, a final, a group project, and some smaller in-class group activities. Nobody came to class until the end for the group activities, and we're forced to buy the textbook because he puts the midterms on the textbook site.
The online textbook was mandatory for both midterms (So you had to pay), but overall very easy. Attendance was mandatory so you could work on group case studies together.
This course is another example of a lost opportunity where real understanding can happen. You would never show up to this class if it wasn't for the break out rooms and the group projects which are about 30% of your mark. Teacher rambles and is has made the material seriously boring. Terrible at direction too.
really sucks, Read the textbook dont even bother listening to him 0/10. Class is a scam forces you to buy a wileyplus to write your exam on. JUST READ THE TEXTBOOK
Howard is a fine professor, lectures are the full 3 hours and it can be hard to understand him with this heavy accent but overall he is a nice guy. He had two different TA's and one of them was an easy marker and the other was a tough grader, you don't know who you will get so it makes it hard to do the assignments. Tests were easy, study textbook!
He's a pretty understanding professor and a fair grader. If you're taking this course online, I would recommend getting the textbook. He does take a long time per slide sometimes though as his PowerPoints have less words since he verbally says most of the information.
BORING! But i learned there are about 50 tiles on the ceiling.
Nice guy, hard tests if you don't have a test bank. Course itself is rather dry, even if you do bad on the midterm you can still make it up in the tests. Only issue I have is he goes too slow and I could rarely ever hear him.
course is entirely based on test banks and sometimes completely useful facts about case studies. He occasionally tries to bring some nuance and debate into his lectures, but these unfortunately only detract from your marks. Advice: focus on testbanks. The lectures do not contribute positively to your marks, as much as I wish it would.
Theres no way to avoid this prof as a GMS student, so good luck lol... Howard's lectures are so bad that everyone feels bad for him and he's really not as nice as some say in these reviews. Get ready for a million tests and projects.
