She takes up problems at a fair pace but she's also very moody. Everyone in her class needed to take turns to answer questions, which was acceptable for me but might not be for some others. Her in-class quiz was also a little tricky.
Vena is such a great ACC100 prof! Make sure you go to her lectures, as they are extremely helpful. She doesn't move too fast, and she will answer your questions. You have to read the textbook though!
She's a very nice person. She has videos on every chapter on D2L. Her lectures consist of taking up questions from the chapter and doing them together. Similar questions will then show up on the quiz, test, so pay attention. She is very clear and not confusing. Midterm/exams are very long so allocate time properly, but that is out of her hands.
Trust me and don't take this teacher. Unlike the other teacher she does the 10% quiz in person instead of online and doesn't post any notes. She forces all students to answer questions in class. Her midterms and finals are challenging. She's super strict with following the rules. Its impossible to reach her through email about answering questions.
For an introductory course, she expects you to know everything. She doesn't post her notes or her examples and she goes over them quickly in class.
She wont post any documents (slides or solutions) on D2L except for course outline. For everyone who will take her tax class, should read and do the recommended questions in advance, although she will take up practice questions during lecture, her explanation isnt clear enough. Jonathans explanation is way better than her, but he left Ryerson.
Worst teacher. Weak in teaching, toughest in Exam.
Tax is a difficult course, but she makes it tougher. Ryerson has yet so see a good full time tax professor since its inception. Very tough grader and tests heavy while no solutions are posted on D2L.
She is an amazing professor. Her lectures are key to your success. You need to go to her class and listen to every single word she says. It's a super hard class, so you need to put work in. She doesn't post solutions but she doesn't mind taking a look at what you've done and correcting it. She gives great feedback.
Amazing prof, does a great job at breaking down complex issues. Makes it very clear what she will test you on and what she expects from you, but you have to put in the effort. She wont provide solutions but she does give amazing feedback if you care enough to get it from her. Overall I would take any course with her again in a heartbeat
