Chill guy, called me a good boy..... It made me feel good

he does all his calculations on excel and tells you that if figure out the answer on exams just throw your pencil and go with wherever it lands. he makes you feel dumb and that you can only achieve the minimum in his class. he talks about politics more than teaching us actual managerial finance and nothing he teaches is on the exams. good luck.

Possibly the worst professor ever taken, half the lecture is spent talking about politics instead of course content. Could care less if you pass, or fail, acts like he's above every person in the room. Says the course “isn't hard” which is true but come time for the midterm and exam get ready to see questions you have never seen in your life.

The prof is awful. All he does is pause and talk during the practices which barely allows you to actually practice. He tells you to practice at home but it is impossible since at home it is you alone with the bots rather than a full class of real people. The simulations are also completely based on luck depedning on which position you get.

Find other profs but not him. He doesn't teach anything in class. The Midterm was very hard. He doesn't even answer your questions.

His lectures are SOO bad. He only teaches excel and its not even clear whats going on? We can't even use excel in the exams so whats the point? He doesn't teach formulas or knowledge, I don't even go to his lectures anymore because id rather just use the time to study on my own

Professor Yuanshun is a fantastic lecturer. He gives some clear guidelines on what he expects and encourages questions and participation. My only recommendation for students who will take this class is to make sure to read the textbook before class! Professor Yuanshun likes to use a lot of real-life examples. You might be lost without preparation.

I think he's an awesome professor. Super helpful, extremely nice and very quick to respond. I also had lots of fun in his classes. :)

He's a very nice professor and shows a lot of knowledge in Finance. You just need to put a lot of work and effort, and ensure you keep up and not fall behind in order to be successful in the course. Ensure you review your undergraduate Finance courses and practice the cases in order to be successful in your midterm, final, and group project.
