A fantastic professor who genuinely inspires me. Very knowledgeable in intercultural communication- as a student from a very different background, I still felt incredibly welcomed, respected and connected. A very supportive but realistic professor who gives good, helpful critique in order to create knowledge and confidence in his students.10/10
Such a kind professor and very knowledgeable. One of my favourite profs at TMU; he really cares about his students and makes an effort to expose us to industry professionals. Always cracking jokes which made the class so enjoyable.
James Warreck is an inspirational teacher with a supportive and kind attitude, always ready to encourage his students. His non formal way of teaching, sense of humour and availability even after or before the class make it easier to understand & excel in the course, readily available to resolve student's issues with the management.
Warrack is forgetful, disorganized, & lazy. Many of his slides were incomplete or empty. Discussion posts felt like mini quizzes each week, & he constantly reused questions from previous weeks, which made it increasingly hard to create good discussions. but, extremely easy marker and youll definitely get an A just for doing the bare minimum.
Class is made up of mainly YouTube and Linda videos. Was a struggle to be motivated to come to class. Knowledgable guy though, and easy grader.
This was the easiest class I have ever taken. There are 2 assignments which almost everyone got 100% on and the final which again, everyone I know got 100% on. You do have to be in class, but participation is only 10%. He's a very boring lecturer, which sucked because I was really interested in the subject. He is lazy in a good way.
Prof. Warrack is clearly very knowledgeable, but his lectures are near impossible to pay attention to. Extremely rambling and slow. However, this class only has 3 written assignments; all very simple.
Majority of his classes are read off of a powerpoint. Although he does possess a wealth of knowledge in terms of film business, you have to speak to him one-on-one in order to get something out of his classes.
Not a fan. Boring lectures, easy marker (ie you won't learn much). His class is a filler course. He rambles, is consistently late, and repeats the same material over and over. He is fairly knowledgeable, but when he doesn't know the answer he will make you look like an idiot. He does HOWEVER help get access to equipment!
He tends to ramble or get sidetracked in lectures and often will often go into great detail describing the obvious (like why you should check you batteries charge before going onto set) But he does know a lot about filmmaking.
