She doesn't seem to want to put effort into teaching this class. She uses AI to do everything for her and encourages everyone to do the same. Her slides are all AI, the MIDTERM questions were AI and she DIDN'T REVIEW THEM before we did it, and had to curve afterwards, she's rigid about marks and just doesn't seem to care.
the d2l will be a mess she put all of her sections into one, so your reciving annocuments about things that do NOT concern you! she is caring and wants the best for you! she will try her best to help you before the midterm and the final. her lectures are quick and simple to understand
Marla is an excellent prof! Course offers great networking opportunities through guest speakers in Sports Marketing. Strong group collaboration is key, as the workload is mostly team-based. Exams are manageable, and the final project involves partnering with a sports company, w/ top groups presenting in person. Far & away my fav course this sem.
Words can't describe how grateful I am for Marla. I've never met a more considerate and accommodating prof. She brings in industry professionals as guest speakers who you can add on linkedin. The final project she collabs with a sports team and the best presentations get to present to the office. The final test is a lot of work, but I got a 95%.
I love Marla! She is one of my favourite profs at TMU and is super caring and insightful. She really cares about her students and their futures. She can be a tough grader sometimes but if she gets to know you it really helps! Her projects were fun and tests weren't too difficult. She may be disorganized sometimes but it doesn't impact students much
Marla was great! She genuinely cares about her students' well-being and is always available for questions. Her midterm was not that difficult, but studying is a must. The final is A LOT (it's a case study) but it's not hard as long you have been paying attention in class. Truly an awesome prof teaching an awesome class.
Marla's class is a mixed bag - disorganized at times, but she makes an effort to boost grades. Attend class for a 2% bonus, and use Unstuckstudy alongside the textbook to prep for tougher exams. Overall, a manageable course if you're diligent.
she's so disorganized. why would you have the test be on d2l but have it in person? barely teaches, just reads points on slides that she would just upload later, assuming we can't read it ourselves. waste of time. she has credentials in pedagogy but barely knows how to work a laptop and her emails lack any information; just atrocious.
Very disorganized, but was nice enough to remove the questions a lot of people got incorrect from the midterms. Marla also boosted the class' marks for the final and her weekly quizzes were a mark booster. Whether or not you show up to class is up to you, but she gave a 2% bonus mark for showing up to class. So, I'll give her credit for that.
Completely disorganized!!! I took this prof after seeing all the good reviews but don't be fooled. Hard to reach out if you need any questions answered as well. Terrible experience.
