Anne Black

Overall the course material is easy to learn but Anne Black does not know how to navigate the D2L. She often did not know how to use Zoom and would by accident log herself out of her own class. At the end of the semester she had lost students D2l Discussion. she expected students to re-do this in order to receive marks during the exam week

This course was extremely confusing and disorganized. The outline kept changing, expectations kept changing- this course should not have been so difficult but it was one of the most challenging courses I have taken in this program. The lack of consistency played a huge role in this and how this course played out.

Anne has NO IDEA how to deliver online teaching. She's super disorganized and DOES NOT follow the course outline. Expect her to change her mind on assignments simply because "she didn't like it". The weekly quizzes had questions had additional questions that she DID NOT inform us of.

Terrible Inconsistent Difficult marker

Very accommodating of different learners, tries to incorporate videos and other materials to keep us engaged. I barely had to read the textbook, but skimming the readings helps for assignment citations. She warned us and offered support for tougher topics (e.g. neuroscience parts), answered any and all clarification questions in class

Stay away. So vague about what she expects in assignments and marks super hard. She expects you to do the most.

Before taking her class, reading all of these reviews, I was really scared to have her, but now, she is really sweet and nothing like what other reviews had said. Although I will say the only things that I dislike is the fact that for our test, we couldn't see what we got wrong and right and for marking, it takes her a while to return them.

She would cancel a lot of her own classes then when it was time for marking, she would grade very hard, she also did not explain what she wants from the students, if you ask her to explain an assignment she would read word by word on what it says on the rubric and call it a day, she did not grade fairly at all
