Paul Finlayson

This prof makes it worth going to class. Engages with students well and is extremely friendly. He also bell curves the final exam. He does tend to get off topic sometimes, but nonetheless I would recommend taking this prof.

I enjoy Paul's classes, he engages the students and generally gets the point of his lectures across. However, I would not recommend Paul if you are the type of student to be proactive and value learning all the material. Things get quite sloppy mid-semester and his methods tend to only help the common denominator, which works for most people.

He wasn't a hard marker as long as you do the work needed you will do great in his classes.

Hes absolutely an amazing professor! Really cares about his students and you can always give him a call whenever and he's really helpful on what he wants to you to focus on for assignments and presentations. If he sees you working hard, you will see your marks go up! Probably the greatest teacher I've ever had!

Pauls a good professor, naturally funny but his midterms and exam multiple choice is usually hard unless you study like crazy, overall great prof would take him again definitely.

to receive a quality learning experience you have to catch this professor on the right day. He is constantly distracted and does not seem passionate about his lecture material. This professor altered the grading criteria and then instructed students NOT to contact him regarding the changes. The tests consist of mostly definitions of marketing terms

Hard marker, during presentations he sleeps and ends up giving you a mark based on how much food you give him. He was not very clear and did not help at all with exam preparation, choose another prof if available.

Paul... he's THE best proff I've ever had... OFFICIALLY!!! He's amazing, I loved attending his lectures, and I loved talking to him, he was SOO helpful, he made my first semester in University SOO amazing. Love this proff.

Paul was great! He doesnt always stay on track for each class, but at the same time I left almost every class engaged. I wish he spent more time on metrics, and didnt assume it was easy for everyone. However, over all he was a really nice guy, VERY understanding and accomodating, and I really appreciate how fast he would reply to emails.

He is an amazing prof. Good sense of humor. Makes this boring course interesting. One of the best profs at ryerson.
