Professor Feng is really nice! She really cares for her students and wants them to participate and succeed. FIN 300 is generally a hard course, so the concepts aren't exactly easy so be ready to practice. Attend all the lectures, and do those practice exams and slide examples. Her exams are actually a good mix of those, so they're pretty fair.
If you follow along in the lectures, you should be fine, but good luck if you miss even one class. There's no coming back from that. Get ur hands on the textbook for practice questions, as they make up most tests. I understood her well most of the time, but when one of her examples didn't make sense, she just reread it and told us to move on???
She's alright, nicer than the rest of the FIN 300 profs. Content is hard, so study hard. Mylabs aren't worth much, so be prepared for the midterm and final exam. It is that hard, class average was low….
This professor makes this "hard" course pretty simple and understandable. I would recommend going to lectures despite not being mandatory as the mid term and exam marks were pretty low but the examples done in class are very similar to those that will be on exams. Would recommend doing the MyLabs thoroughly as those examples also help and is 20%.
The class was overall very hard. Make sure to practice everyday and do the mylabs, getting a 90+ really helps ur final mark. Failed both the midterm and final and passed with a 49, got very lucky. Luckily, post midterm got easier since Stocks and Bonds were strictly calculator. If u can get a 50 on the midterm and 100 on the my lab, u will be fine.
She uses the full 3 hours to explain everything. But if you want good grades spend 2-3 hours every week for the mylabs (free 20%) and prepare a good crib sheet. A little effort starting Day 1 and you'll be fine.
Explains most of the contents verbally and very well. So you gotta concentrate for the entire 3 hours. if you are good at math, course would be a bit easy. midterm 30%, mylab 20& & final 50% midterm is easier than final. so make sure you do well in midterm. exams are not hard considering the difficulty of the course but still you have to practice.
She's by far the best prof for Finance. She explains the concepts in such detail that you will understand them regardless of your background. The course and the content is hard so you still have to study on your own but she will make things much easier. Definitely take her and attend her lectures
She is a really good professor, and she explains concepts well. The only complaint I have is that she sometimes misses some parts of a chapter that you need to know, but you can easily pick them up yourself. This course itself is hard, so please study since Week 1.
If you cant self teach then dont take her. I give here a high rating cuz shes nice an understanding. She focuses on theoretical way too much. She skips out on alot of important formulas which u need for the exam. I had to self teach everything after the 2nd class. Only way I got a good grade was by self study. Otherwise id be cooked.
