Avoid this prof like the plague. I usually do not make posts about profs, however I felt compelled to do so. He's rude, condescending, expects too much with unclear direction, dismissive when asked for clarification and is unapproachable— does not want to engage with students for exam or assignment debrief as well.
Extremely hard marker. Focus on little details no one else does.
He's such a hard marker it's insane. He will deduct marks if you use quotation in your discussion posts and if it does not meet the quota by one single word. He was a nice prof just way too harsh on grading.
Extremely easy class. Not so time consuming except for the weekly discussion posts. When answering any question in this class just take a left leaning approach that he agrees with to guarantee a high mark.
Prof. Jason Reid is a very tough grader and the amount of work needed to be put into the course is not worth it. His feedback on discussion posts are not helpful at all. He replies to posts with his own perspectives giving no sources to back up his opinions. If he doesn't like your perspective, he takes grades off.
Jason Reid does ask a lot of his students. However if you put effort in the weekly discussion post it will help with marks in the end, there is one major assignment and it is graded tough but he does outline his expectations well. If you are taking a full course load it may be best to stay away. Overall I enjoyed his course!
Lots of reading in his course, and he is so careless about students' success. He does not care about students' strugglings, and he does not have any understanding.
Dr. Reid is super knowledgeable and approachable. Clear expectations are outlined and explained in detail for discussions and assignment. As an UL be prepared to critically analyze course contents. If you are willing to do the work required your will not only enjoy the journey, but have a fantastic learning experience! I love Dr. Reid
Prof has unrealistic expectations for his students. Feels as though he expected us to dedicate every waking hour to his course between the readings essentially a 500 word essay to the discussion board every week. Also, excessive preoccupation with word count. Marking on the essay was very tough and focused on penalizing for minor errors.
