Dan Westell

It was so fun being in Dan's class! I had him for the JRN103 5 hour lab and he was always great at keeping us engaged and always gave us lengthy breaks. He is great to be around and is always cracking jokes. Although he is a tough marker, just show up to class and listen to his feedback and youll be fine :)

Dan is a gem. He's very, very kind and you can tell he really cares about his students. He's definitely a tough grader, but he marks with love. He wants you to succeed. Listen to his feedback and you will do fine.

A legend. Really critical marker but gives back great feedback! Always has really funny stories.

he's a little rough around the edges but it's all bark no bite, he ended up being one of my favourite profs. Very caring and will go the extra mile to help you, his feedback is straight to the point and will make you a better journalist. He's a great guy and he knows what he's talking about

Oh Dan. What a guy. Terrible lecturer, but a great man who does careto an extent. He cares if you show you truly care. But you can tell he's tired of teaching and putting up with students complaining about his weekly quizzes that are 2 per cent each (but are super easy). Overall, just be nice to him and complete the assignments and you'll be good.

Dan is the cool journalism uncle you've always wanted that swears nonchalantly at the dinner table. Dan is bae.

Easily one of my favourite professors. The man is hilarious without even trying, and while he might be a tough grader, he tells it like it is, and you'll be a better journalist for hearing it. 10/10 would *highly* recommend.

His teaching style is pretty straight forward. He's really nice and if you need help he def will. Highly recommend taking a class of his.

Not the best lecturer in big groups, but in smaller classes he is great! He is a fair marker.
