Robert Appleton

Issues and Topics was an awesome class. We had the chance to work very freely, if we had any questions, Robert was always available. At the end of the class, we went to canon and printed a book with our work, which is useful for any portfolio.

Robert has an impressive background but he is extremely humble and accessible. He is genuinely committed to his students, and hopes they succeed in their professional life. Show him your work, show up to class, and ask for advice!

Robert is a very kind and knowledgeable professor. Although a bit quiet, he is a very approachable instructor. His class, Topics in Design, was also very interesting and he even managed to get the local Canon offices to participate in a final project.

Contrary to the rest of the opionions on this page a found classes with Bob, despite being very self motivating, to be very enlightening. The man in knowledgeable and willing to discuss at length any kind of creative issue. Bob will not cram subject matter down your throat but he will teach you to think like an artist.

He's too nice for his own well-being. According to him everything is good, everything is wonderful...Like there pretty much no constructive criticism...Don't ask how to use a specific application because he doesn't know himself, you're on your own. This teaches you to learn stuff on your own time. Also, 3 hrs of a non structured class is painful.
